GALAȚI GREEN VALLEY. Ziarul Financiar and LIBERTY Galați join forces for promoting Galați as the new investment hub for the future
Ziarul Financiar, in partnership with LIBERTY Galați, will organize a major conference in Galati on 4th of April 2023: “GALAȚI GREEN VALLEY – The new investment hub for the future. The event will gather Romanian and European high-level officials, experts and business leaders who will discuss the future of Galati as the next Hydrogen Valley, a GREENSTEEL and renewable energy hub as well as the necessary infrastructure to achieve this ambition.
Aiming at positioning Galati as the next hub for investments in sustainable steel and renewable energy, the event will be attended by many important speakers, including MEP Dan Nica – Member of the European Parliament, Minister of Economy Florin Spătaru, Mayor Ionuț Pucheanu and President of the County Council Costel Fotea, EBRD Regional Director Marc Davies and EIB Director Lara Tassan Zanin – as well as EUROFER Deputy Director General and Director Climate Change Adolfo Aiello. On behalf of LIBERTY, Sandip Biswas, CEO LIBERTY Primary Steel and Mining, and Ajay Aggarwal, LIBERTY’s European President will present LIBERTY Galati’s GREENSTEEL plans and work with these key stakeholders to transform Galati into a green region of Europe.
Sandip Biswas – CEO LIBERTY Primary Steel and Mining – stated: “This unique event is promoting Galati as the new investment hub for the future – a place where we can produce GREENSTEEL, hydrogen and renewable energy. LIBERTY is already investing in GREENSTEEL and renewable energy in this region, and we hope and believe that Romania will invest in fostering decarbonisation too. This country has enormous potential to become Europe’s leading green hydrogen producer and Galati could be at the centre of that programme. It is essential that all of us work closely together to help deliver that ambition.”
Ajay Aggarwal – LIBERTY’s European President and Chairman of the Board LIBERTY Galati – stated: “We thank ZF and all our partners for organizing such an important event for Galati region which has huge potential to become the next Green Valley of Romania and Europe. With the steel and shipping industry, access to Danube ports, solar and wind power, and its ambitious hydrogen production projects, as well as the governmental support, Galati-Braila region is can become a true Hydrogen Valley, a hub of GREENSTEEL and green energy. This transformation will have a major positive impact for the entire community, ensuring the transition to a low carbon economy, and will change the life of many families for the better.”
Ziarul Financiar, Romania’s leading business publication, will engage key stakeholders to answer to important questions such as “How can Galati-Braila region can benefit from the energy transition? How can this county become one of the leaders for the hydrogen race? How can we overcome the industry decarbonisation challenges? what is needed for Galati-Braila region to attract more investments? And how will the workforce of the future look? All these issues and opportunities will be discussed in Galati on 4th of April – the access to the event is by invitation only.
