Liberty Tubular Products Galaţi was created and started operations in 1986, using heavy plates produced by Liberty Galaţi as its raw material. Since then, the Tubular Products Mill has contributed to numerous major infrastructure projects related to methane gas, oil, water, compressor stations, boilers pressure and construction.

It is a leading supplier of longitudinally welded pipes for Transgaz Romania, SGI Italia, Net4Gas Czech Republic, Gaz-System Poland, Bulgartransgaz Bulgaria, Marathon Pipe Line (MPL).

The mill has an annual capacity of 50,000 tons and can deliver longitudinally welded pipes with diameters ranging from 508 to 1.422 millimetres, wall thicknesses between 6.35 and 25.4 millimetres and lengths between 6.000 and 12.000 millimetres.

The tubular products manufactured and delivered by Liberty Tubular Products Galaţi meet the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management standards, API-Q1 specification and ISO 14001: 2015 system certifications; as well as OHSAS 18001: 2007.

Its product standards include: API 5L and ISO 3183 with steel grades: B, X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, X70 – PSL1 and PSL2, European standards 10217-1-3-5, PED directives 2014/68/EU and GOST. The Structural Marks that fall under CPR Regulation 305/2011 are also available.

The unit produces and delivers tubular products of which quality is tested in an accredited laboratory according to EN ISO/IEC 17025, with professional equipment, to ensure customer satisfaction.

Liberty Tubular Products Galaţi aims to open new logistics routes in Romania as well as investing in new welding equipment, ultrasonic testing of weld seam, new marking machines and expanding its product portfolio by adopting new brands, diameters and lengths.

The unit has 120 workers and professional development, creating a safe work environment and respecting the environment are a priority.
