LIBERTY Steel Group appoints Radu Ionescu as General Manager at LIBERTY Galați, the largest integrated steel producer in Romania and a key pillar of the Romanian economy. Prasanta Mishra, currently Executive Director, becomes Managing Director Plant Operations for LIBERTY Galati.

Founder of the Radu Ionescu Sava Law Firm, Radu Ionescu has extensive expertise in in the field of law, being specialized in M&A, competition, banking, finance and tax law and coordinating the firm’s corporate and commercial advisory practice. With an in-depth understanding of the steel industry, the new General Manager of LIBERTY Galati has advised the group on a range of matters within Romania and across Central & Eastern Europe for the last few years.

The management team of LIBERTY Galati will continue to work closely with Ajay Aggarwal, President Europe of LIBERTY Steel Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of LIBERTY Galati, and Sandip Biswas , CEO LIBERTY Primary Steel and Mining, to transform the steel company into a carbon neutral producer by 2030.
