GFG met the Romanian Prime Minister Ludovic Orban
A senior team from the GFG Alliance and the Galati Steel Plant, led by the GFG Chairman Sanjeev Gupta, met with our new Prime Minister Ludovic Orban and a governmental team in Bucharest.
Sanjeev Gupta and the team expressed GFG’s commitment to increasing the long-term investment in the Galati steel plant in order to return it to its position as one of Europe’s leading producers.
Sanjeev Gupta and Jay Hambro, GFG’s Chief Investment Officer, also said they were looking to make further significant investments in Romania.
The GFG representatives concluded the positive meeting by conveying the Prime Minister their hope that the environment for business would now start to improve, to the benefit of all those within the Romanian economy.
