Supply Chain Business Partner (Dandenong South, VIC, AU)

About the role

In this exciting role you will join a newly created regional team supporting multiple sites across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania to help streamline business operations through effective Supply Chain Management
 
This is a true Business Partnering role that is heavily focused on customer service, ensuring product availability across the network while optimizing inventory levels and thus improve profitability and trade working capital. You will also manage 4 direct reports that will form part of your team. Successful candidate will be expected to travel to regional sites as required.

 

Duties include;

  • Understanding and anticipating demand drivers at a branch level as well as regionally. Be custodian of demand planning process across all sites

  • Developing and executing the supply plan to ensure product availability in the network

  • Applying various Supply Chain methodologies to manage inventory levels while improving customer service level and optimising working capital

  • Looking for continuous improvement opportunities across demand and supply management, supplier performance and product lead time 

  • Closely work with logistics team to ensure efficient vehicle utilisation, optimising transportation cost and product handling costs where possible

  • Contribute to our integrated supply chain strategy, whilst being actively involved in the operational aspects of the branch network 

About your experience

This is an exciting role that would suit someone who is looking to position themselves to take the next step in their career. You will partner closely with and be mentored by the National Supply Chain Manager as you contribute to our overarching strategy development and execution whilst take a leading role in interfacing with suppliers and our operations teams to find efficiencies.
 
To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a strong communicator able to navigate between strategic and operational conversations easily.

  • Understand various supply chain methodologies for demand planning, supply planning, logistics and customer service and be able to apply them to a complex business.

  • Have previous experience in demand planning, supply planning and inventory management

  • Be commercially savvy, understand P&L and the role Supply Chain plays in improving company operational performance, growth and profitability

  • Be comfortable working during a transformation phase and manage remote teams.
