Safety Business Partner (Sunshine, VIC, AU)
About the role
The Safety Business Partner will act as the first point of contact to our InfraBuild Reinforcing Sunshine and Noble Park sites, as well as the wider InfraBuild businesses. The role will provide training, advisory and operational support for the delivery of workplace safety compliance in accordance with legislative, regulatory and internal requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:

Demonstrate safety leadership and commitment

Support Leaders to implement, maintain and monitor compliance with the SIC safety management system, including Cority, ChemAlert and Contractor Portal.

Provide site leaders with support in the application and intent of safety policies, procedures and processes, providing coaching for improved compliance as required

Provide training and coaching to leaders in event reporting, safety observations, hand focused observations, Critical Risk Inspections and assist them to understand their hazards and effectively manage their controls

As directed by the Lead Safety Partner, oversee and coordinate significant operational risk management and change request activities

Be an active participant (and act as chair when appropriate) in regional safety meetings

Provide technical safety training to workers in line with the SIC Competency Profile, including isolation, contractor management and load restraint

Review the sites’ training schedule monthly to provide leaders with feedback and recommended actions to support them to maintain up-to-date training schedule and training plans
About your experience
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate safety as a core value through leading by example and will have outstanding communication and influencing skills.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Tertiary Health and Safety Qualification (such as Certificate IV in WHS or similar) or Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, and be willing to obtain the other

Ability to apply Health and Safety principles sensibly and effectively in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment

Previous experience in leading/deploying Operational Safety Systems and processes

Previous experience in training and assessment is desirable
