Reinforcing Scheduler/Detailer (Sunshine, VIC, AU)
About the role
Reporting to the Scheduling Manager, this role is responsible for the design and documentation of reinforcing steel to Australia’s major construction projects. You will interact directly with Tier 1 customers and internal stakeholders to determine customer needs and ensure the accurate supply of reinforcing steel to each major project. This position can be based either in Noble Park or Sunshine.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinate customer requirements in conjunction with Sales, Planning, Production and Operations to accurately forecast customer construction projects.
- Generate bar, cutting and bending lists from structural and architectural drawings
- Work with customers to ensure drawings and production schedule meet customer needs
- Identify potential production or product solutions, and negotiate changes with customers to reduce scheduling and production costs
- Manage enquiries from customers regarding product status and delivery
- Provide technical advice to the clients
About your experience
This role would suit an experienced Scheduler or Detailer who is looking to explore their career in the construction and engineering industry, and work in large Tier 1 infrastructure, civil, commercial or precast projects.
We are open to applications from candidates with varying levels of experience and industries.
Advantageous skills for this role:
- Previous experience as a scheduler or detailer
- Experience in reinforcing is desirable
- A diploma, certificate or degree in civil/structural engineering, drafting or architecture
- Experience in modelling software such as Revit, TEKLA, Autocad or similar
- Prior experience in 3D modelling is preferred or willing to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
