Regional Sales Manager (Melbourne, VIC, AU)
About the role
Reporting into the National Sales Manager, this role is responsible for maximising the profit and volume of Cyclone’s rural products covering within Victoria and Tasmania. In these regions, the key focus will be on the rural market in more concentrated volumes.
The role requires 1-2 weeks travel to Tasmania every 6 weeks to establish and maintain contact with our customer base and distributor network.
You will also;
- Building strong relationships with key customers within the Victorian and Tasmanian regions
- Identify trends and develop appropriate sales strategies and business plans
- Meet sales targets and drive new business development in the assigned territory
- Maintain ongoing awareness of the industry trends and competitor activity
- Analyse sales performance and provide monthly reports
- Promote advantages of the Cyclone range, provide training and guidance around fencing options
- Ensure development of regional safety plans and roll out of any safety initiatives.
About your experience
Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian agribusiness market alongside a strong sales and leadership ability.
- An agricultural related qualification or knowledge of rural fencing products is desirable but not essential
- A passion for development and achieving results. We will be looking for a drive to succeed as this will ensure your success in the role
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills are necessary, as is the ability to deliver effective presentations to individuals and groups
- Ability to operate separate from the rest of the sales force, mostly in regional areas
- You’ll be a self-starter and demonstrate a willingness to travel and be away from home regularly.
- You will hold a current and valid driver’s licence.
