Regional Manager – NSW (Sydney/Newcastle, NSW, AU)

About the role

As the NSW Regional Manager with ARC, you will oversee our state-based sales, distribution, and processing centers, ensuring profitability and safety. Your role will focus on maximising returns from existing clients while driving growth through strategic market initiatives and product innovation.
 

With significant automomy, operating at what would be General Manager level within most reinforcing and building product companies, this role could be based in any of Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong or Canberra branches.

Key responsibilities include:
 

  • Leading our branches which range from small retail based branches servicing the residential market to large manufacturing branches supporting the commercial market, offering services tailored to our target customers
  • Managing customer satisfaction and developing strategies to drive improved performance
  • Upholding the highest Health, Safety and Environmental standards and engaging with employees
  • Providing advice, coaching and supporting employees to solve problems
  • Reviewing monthly reports covering production, operational performance, quality, maintenance, and delivery
  • Financial accountability to deliver the full state P&L and capital projects budget
  • Accountability for driving continuous improvement, modification and growth projects

About your experience

You will be an adaptable and independent individual who can handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously. Able to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

Skills required:
 

  • Strong communication skills including the ability to influence
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
  • Willingness to adapt and learn quickly in a rapidly changing business environment
  • Exposure to interpreting and understanding trends in market
  • High level of leadership experience
  • Business, commerce and sales experience is desirable
