About the role

You will be part of a team that is highly safety focused with a strong track record for delivering great outcomes. You will be surrounded and mentored by seasoned operators ensuring your success within the business. This role is based out of our site at Wacol.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Operating forklift and manual handling
• Ensuring cleanliness of the yard and operational areas
• Maintenance and operation of machinery such as excavators, skid steers etc
• Championing safety procedures to the highest standard

Role hours: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3 pm with overtime available if required

About your experience

You are someone who values teamwork, safety, continuous improvement and has a strong desire to operate at a fast pace to ensure the team succeeds.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Forklift license is essential
• Manual truck driving experience is essential
• Experience in driving an excavator and skid steers is desirable
• Scrap recycling, construction, manufacturing, or warehousing industry experience is desirable but not essential
• A continuous learning and can-do mindset
