Operator (Townsville, QLD, AU)
About the role
Join a highly safety-focused and tight-knit team of Operators at our Townsville site. Hone your skills and train to be a master Machine Operator.
The current working hours are, Mondays to Thursdays – 6 am to 2:30 pm, and early finish on Fridays – 6 am to 12pm. Plenty of OT opportunities.
Your key duties:
- Operate off-coil machines to shape and cut reinforcing bars and mesh
- Input job tags on machines to produce steel products
- MIG Welding (second class) of steel cages & gates
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts
- Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
About your experience
You are a motivated individual who is eager to learn, collaborative and has a can-do attitude. You take pride in delivering the highest quality products to exceed our customer expectations.
- Experienced operator or someone willing to learn
- Previous welding experience is advantageous
- Overhead crane experience/ticket is highly desirable
- Knowledge of quality processes or manufacturing systems
- Background in the manufacturing, warehousing, or construction industry encouraged
- Strong commitment to safety standards
