Laboratory and Systems Coordinator (Revesby, NSW, AU)

About the role

Based at our Revesby site, the Laboratory and Systems Coordinator will be responsible for supporting product quality assurance, compliance and accreditation and ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved regarding quality, reliability and delivery.

 

This role supports a culture of ongoing improvement by challenging the status quo, ensuring safety and quality compliance through communication, action, and accountability and by providing quality leadership including production and distribution of quality products, continuous improvement initiatives and all regulatory and legal requirements. This is a 12-18 month max term contract with view to permanency.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for sites to ensure ongoing conformance to standards
  • Ensure testing is effectively managed, prioritised and completed within set timeframes
  • Report and communicate on product test results
  • Coordinate and conduct internal audits
  • Support and coach the Lab Team in terms of best practice, day to day testing and conformance
  • Provide assistance in product dispute process and escalate issues/improvement ideas where required
  • Manage (where applicable) and support the external audit process (ISO9001, ACRS)
  • Maintain and build important operational relationships

About your experience

Ideally, you will have a background in Operations or Engineering with experience in internal auditing or quality control and knowledge of steel mechanical properties.

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • Experience in materials testing (desirable)
  • Quality control or internal auditing background
  • ISO9001 experience
  • Strong communication skills including influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organize and prioritize demands, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry is highly regarded
