Electrician (Bell Bay, TAS, AU)
About the role
We’re on the hunt for a skilled Electrical Tradesperson to join our dynamic team at Liberty Bell Bay. If you have a knack for electrical work and love tackling challenges, this is the job for you! Enjoy a great work-life balance with our 4-day, 10-hour day shift roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment by identifying and addressing risks.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks on both Low Voltage and High Voltage equipment, including pumps, cranes, conveyors, and more.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical smelting control systems.
About your experience
To excel in this role, you should have prior experience in heavy industries or a genuine interest and motivation to transition into manufacturing. You must be dedicated to maintaining safety and quality standards and be comfortable working both collaboratively and independently. Our ideal candidate would also have:
- A-Grade Electrical Licence – essential
- Certificate 3 in Electrotechnology – Electrician or equivalent.
- HV Switching (national) ticket is a plus.
- Forklift and Bridge/Gantry crane tickets are helpful.
- Certificate 3 in Electrotechnology – Instrumentation (desirable).

Liberty Bell Bay is Australia’s only ferroalloy producer, operating four submerged arc furnaces and a Sinter Plant to produce high-carbon ferromanganese, silicomanganese and sinter.
