Steelmaker (Rooty Hill, NSW, AU)
About the role
You will be part of a large steelmaking team at the Meltshop in the Rooty Hill Steel Mill, reporting to the Shift Leader. The roster is 12-hour shifts and it’s a 24/7 plant: rotating between day and night shifts.
- We will provide training for each area of the Meltshop
- The different roles include various manual handling sections across the process end to end
- Cabin crane and Forklift operation
About your experience
It is important that you are committed to learning the steel industry and joining a global business where you will gain exposure to best practice in safety. You will have stability and long-term career development.
- Tradesman and/or labouring experience
- Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn
- Forklift ticket ideal
- Computer literate to learn to operate HMI’s

InfraBuild’s Steel Manufacturing business unit operates world-class state-of-the-art Steelmaking facilities in Sydney, Newcastle & Melbourne. Operating two electric arc furnaces and four rod and bar rolling mills. We use local materials to produce high quality steel products.
