Market Analyst (Sydney, NSW, AU)
About the role
This role will focus on market analysis based on the sales data from all business units, providing insights into both the Australian steel market and InfraBuild’s market share to the senior management team to enable informative decision-making. The role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the existing market model. Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the market model and its core components, including short and long-term market size, market share, import data, sales data, and market trends.
- Consolidate all sales data by product channels, segments, business units, markets, states, etc.
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines, ensuring the seamless flow of data for analysis purpose.
- Understand the sales and marketing information requirements of the business units and determine the most efficient reporting methods.
- Apply statistical techniques to analyse and interpret complex datasets.
- Assist in the budget and forecast, and generate detailed reports and presentations that communicate market insights.
About your experience
We’re looking for someone who understands our industry, appreciates our policies and procedures and can effectively analyse market intelligence and economic indicators for strategic business decision-making.
- Degree in Business, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong data science and data analytics capability
- Strong understanding of data visualization tools, such as Access, Power BI or similar
- Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
- Previous experience in manufacturing ideal but essential
