International Women in Engineering Day
INVENTORS & INNOVATORS
Meet Ljubica, Project Engineer from LIBERTY Skopje
Ljubica has always had an enthusiasm for engineering and since July 2021 she has worked as a Project Engineer at LIBERTY Steel Skopje in North Macedonia. What attracted Ljubica to the role was the chance to explore different areas of engineering, along with the prospect of learning new technologies and production processes, and the ability to enhance her leadership skills.
What Ljubica likes most about her career in engineering is the endless challenges it brings, and the opportunity to be creative in devising solutions. She loves that she can use her logical and innovative thinking skills to solve a variety of problems. Ljubica is also proud of her work environment and the experienced engineers she gets to work with every day, as she’s able to constantly learn from them.
Ljubica is excited about her future at LIBERTY and is looking forward to expanding into her other areas of interest including project management, and mechanical and electrical engineering.
On the role of women in engineering, Ljubica says she encourages the next generation to consider a career in the steel industry, as she has received a huge amount of support from her team members, and the opportunities for personal growth in the industry are endless.
