Roland Junck elected chairman of LIBERTY Ostrava´s Supervisory Board

Members of the Supervisory Board of LIBERTY Ostrava have elected Roland Junck, President of LIBERTY Steel Group Europe & UK, as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ostrava steelworks. Eduard Muřický, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade was elected the Vice-Chairman of the Board.
Roland Junck is President of LIBERTY Steel Group Europe & UK, part of Sanjeev Gupta’s sustainable industry leader GFG Alliance, and also responsible for delivering GFG’s ambition to become carbon neutral by 2030. Roland is a steel industry leader with 40 years of experience working at the highest levels in the global metals sector. He joined the LIBERTY Ostrava Supervisory Board in March 2020.
Eduard Muřický, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade became a member of the Supervisory Board in December 2019. He was appointed on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding, signed last September, between LIBERTY and the Ministry to support the sustainable development of LIBERTY Ostrava and the Czech steel industry.
