In the town of Rácalmás, adjacent to Dunaújváros, a railway history park has been welcoming visitors in a carefully maintained environment for nearly a decade. The association responsible for the park reached out to LIBERTY Dunaújváros to enhance their exhibition with an industrial shunting locomotive. The company’s management was pleased to support the initiative, selecting a decommissioned industrial vehicle for this purpose. This locomotive, manufactured by Ganz–MÁVAG in 1972, was specifically built for the Dunaújváros steelworks and served production faithfully for several decades until recently, when more environmentally friendly, refurbished locomotives took over its duties.

After meticulous preparations, in June, our shunting locomotive nicknamed “Zetor” with registration number 064, arrived at its final destination.

During the handover ceremony, Dr. Lajos Mészáros, Member of Parliament, was the first to commend the significance of the park, its new vehicle, and the support from LIBERTY Dunaújváros. On behalf of the donor, LIBERTY Dunaújváros, Dr. Róbert Móger, Director of HR and Government Affairs, expressed gratitude for the dedicated work of the colleagues who refurbished the locomotive. Lajos Steiner, President of the Rácalmás City Protection and Beautification Association, expressed his thanks by presenting a certificate of appreciation to the expert team of LIBERTY Dunaújváros for donating and preparing the locomotive both technically and aesthetically.

The distinctive railway vehicle now rests in its rightful place at the Rácalmás railway park, where it can be viewed.
