About the role

Join a three-shift steel distributor as a key member of the operations leadership team. As a driven team leader, you will be responsible for high volume, time sensitive picking, packing and loading of orders, driving efficiencies, and achieve collective and individual goals. Providing strong leadership, safety and operational management skills. You will be instrumental to the success of the branch by ensuring DIFOT targets are met, drive a strong safety culture and train the operations team to develop their capabilities.

The priorities of the role will include:
•    Lead and mentoring the team; promoting a high-performing culture
•    Drive the team to achieve a strong safety culture is paramount
•    Motivate and empower the team to reach 

About You

It’s important that you are a people and safety centric leader, who has a continuous improvement and innovative mindset. You will lead a highly capable team and drive best practice.

•    Great communication and leadership skills
•    Championing a strong safety culture
•    Promote a customer-centric approach
•    Competent computer experience
•    Implementing a high-performance culture in operations
•    Industrial warehouse, overhead crane, or truck loading experience advantageous but not essential
•    Supervisor experience highly favorable but not essential
