About the role

ARC have an exciting position available for a dedicated Operator to join our team. 
This is an excellent opportunity to join our collaborative team and gain valuable experience in steel processing, pre-fabrication, and distribution.
 

You will play a critical role in our Operations team, where you will be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of steel bundles and mesh products using our 8 and 7 Tonne Toyota Forklifts. Therefore, it is essential to have a valid forklift license and prior experience operating forklifts in a similar environment.

This is a full time permanent role where you will be assisting on the morning shift, with hours of work being from 5AM to 1PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general storeperson duties, including picking, packing, loading, and unloading.

• Uphold the highest safety standards and champion safety procedures.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

The role will be based in our Hemmant branch and is conveniently located a short walk from the Hemmant train station.

About your experience

To be successful in this role, you will be an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments. You will also value teamwork, and demonstrate a safety-first and continuous improvement approach to your work at all times. 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid forklift licence.

• Proficient in load restraint compliance.

• Experience in the steel industry is advantageous but not required.

• A self-motivated individual who possess strong attention to detail skills, and a sense of urgency.

• Ability to follow safe work procedures and adhere to company policies.

• Strong understanding and compliance with WH&S obligations, with a demonstrated safe work ethic.

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
