About the role

Our site Maintenance team based in Geelong is on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Tradesperson. Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, you will liaise with key stakeholders across the site. This is a good opportunity to join an experienced, tight knit team within an exciting industry and gain valuable skills and experience.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance work orders in a safe, timely and professional manner
• Undertake fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical, electronics, instrumentation and communication equipment
• Maintain all work areas in a safe and tidy state.
• Fully support front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives

About your experience

We are looking for someone with proven ability to work within an onsite maintenance team delivering successful outcomes around equipment reliability and continuous improvement plans. The ideal candidate possesses hands on experience in a role working with PLC’s.

We are looking to speak to candidates with:

• Electrical Trade qualification and currently hold electrical A grade license
• Understanding of PLC programming and fault finding (Siemens S7)
• Experience troubleshooting electrical breakdowns and determining root causes in a heavy industry manufacturing environment  
• Ability to apply sound judgement and manage competing deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and computer aptitude
• Post trade accreditation (Cert IV) is highly regarded
• EWP – advantageous
