Senior Project Manager (Villawood, NSW, AU)

About the role

 

The NSW Senior Project Manager is responsible and accountable for NSW InfraBuild Reinforcing’s project delivery performance against contracted projects for the supply of reinforcing steel, associated products and services.  This role is pivotal in managing and executing the key obligations and opportunities of sales contracts and providing front line customer service to major clients.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage entire Project phase from mobilisation through to delivery
  • Leading a team of 5 x Project Managers
  • Present project budget, program, work breakdown structure and monthly phasing for approval
  • Manage reinforcement delivery program and internal support interfaces
  • Implement a project governance plan, including monthly implementation reviews to ensure obligations of InfraBuild Reinforcing and customers are met
  • Develop strong customer relationships/liaise on day to day project management issues and negotiate project critical matters
  • Early identification of risks and opportunities
  • Resolve all claims and disputes
  • Work within WHS policies and procedures, along with workplace and Australian standards

About your experience

 

You will be passionate and enthusiastic about the building industry and what InfraBuild has to offer in the market.  Your previous leadership experience in the building/construction industry and understanding of the major infrastructure project cycle is paramount to your success in this role.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate other through expertise and action
  • At least 5 years Project Management experience or similar background within the commercial/civil construction/steel reinforcing industry
  • Demonstrate contract management experience
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen and experience forecasting and controlling of project budgets
  • Advanced knowledge of reinforcement drawings and the ability to interpret drawings
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Standards and key construction system techniques
  • Strong reasoning and decision making skills
  • Ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects
