Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for continuing initiatives to continually improve on our safe workplaces for our employees, contractors, and customers. You will provide support across our SA & VIC/TAS locations with requirement to plan your travel to sites and build strong relationships with the wider team & stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

Lead, implement and support safety processes and practices across multiple sites

Engage with stakeholders to understand how safety and wellbeing can be improved
-
Facilitate incident investigations, hazard identification, risk assessments and coach sites on learnings to prevent any harm to individuals

Identify change and support the business with change management activities

Leading your sites through their Safety journey through strong engagement
-
Promoting awareness of safety initiatives and communications
About your experience
As a Safety Leader or Advisor, you will demonstrate experience working with Safety Management Systems. This role would also suit a Graduate with the appropriate degree, acumen and solid communication skills.
For the experienced Safety Leader, strong communication skills across multileveled hierarchies is a must, with the ability to influence teams and individuals while maintaining an empathetic approach to challenges, ideas and solutions. You demonstrate the ability to implement change and drive continuous improvement via excellent communication and analytical skills.
You also have:

Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety; minimum Degree or Post-grad

Experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations
-
Effective at influencing and coaching a wide variety of stakeholders
-
Innovative and creative approach to safety with a proactive attitude
-
Eagerness to learn and desire for career development
The ideal candidate will be a strong influencer with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong focus on safety and quality. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
