Regional Support Officer (Newcastle, NSW, AU)

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Sales Support Manager, you will be key to ensuring that the Waratah Sales Team are “best in class” with on-boarding, training, reporting, systems & processes. You will have a strong focus on achieving service excellence and improving customer satisfaction as well supporting the wider sales team. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Support Sales Managers and improve use of data to increase sales efficiency
  • Drive customer analytics, market analysis and the presentation of comprehensive sales data
  • Liaison between sales, marketing and customer service and administering CRM
  • Monitoring business metrics, and provide administration support across proposals, quotes and costings
  • Administration of operational expenses and customer campaigns
  • Development and maintenance of dashboards, incentives and SalesForce™ for Waratah™
  • Identifying and providing regular market and competitor feedback across the region
  • Onboarding processes and regular training to external sales staff

The role will sometimes require occasional travel for customer activities and the opportunity to work closely with sales reps to increase your skills. 

About your experience

It’s important that you are an energetic and positive team player with strong attention to detail, customer focused and thrive in a busy environment with a passion for delivering results. You ideally have a strong affiliation with the agricultural food and fibre industry and have a good understanding of the challenges and economics of rural distributors.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • An agricultural related qualification is desirable along with proven experience working in the field
  • High level of commercial and business acumen and strong data gathering & analytical skills
  • Experienced in Continuous Improvement & project management activities
  • Strong computer skills particularly Excel, Microsoft Power BI & Power Automate, SharePoint an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience using and managing a CRM, ideally with Salesforce™. Any SAP™ experience advantageous
  • Understanding of competitor products, the rural market and distributor network
  • Experience managing strategic relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders and all levels of key internal personnel
  • Demonstrated experience in Sales or Purchasing role an advantage
