Regional Product Manager-Northeast (Upper Sandusky, OH, US)

Liberty Engineered Wire Products, Inc. (LEWP) is a leading manufacturer of Welded Wire Reinforcement(WWR) mesh products to the precast concrete, cast-in-place and construction markets. LEWP has beendeveloping innovative structural reinforcing solutions for America’s infrastructure growth since 1969,providing steel reinforcing in concrete pipe, box culverts, bridge, segmental tunnels , tilt-up panels, cast-in-place, hi-rise projects, slab-on-grade, and highway road mesh. LEWP has facilities located in UpperSandusky, OH, Las Cruces, NM and Warren, OH.

As a member of the Sales and Engineering team, theRegional Product Manager is responsible for a CIP & Precast customer base within a geographic region.
Responsibilities include the following:• Be an active participant of the Sales & Engineering team, responding to Company goals asdefined by the VP of Sales & Engineering toward the success and development of LEWP.• The Regional Product Manager position reports to the National Product Manager (NPM).• As a primary function of this position, achieve regional sales tonnage and fiscal objectives.• Contribute regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans; maximizeregional sales performance and profitability by clearly understanding and achievingcompany goals.• Ability to manage outside sales responsibilities effectively and efficiently, maintainingoutside sales activity 55% as directed by NPM to meet customer and prospect callobjectives, within a defined territory.• Tracking of key activity and sales metrics, including account forecasting and trendmanagement.• Contribute to achieving revenue goals by identifying new product opportunities whileidentifying challenges to growth.• Develop and maintain strong customer and specifier relationships, understanding theirneeds, and being proactive in sales development.• Represent LEWP with a visual and leadership presence in the industry which may includeparticipation with approved associations, events, and committees.• Manage the RFQ lifecycle, as necessary, from inquiry to post sale follow up, to includeentering of orders, managing sales efforts within CRM and maintaining regular outboundphone call follow-up procedures.• Work closely with regional Roll & Hold accounts to manage the sales lifecycle and achievesales objectives at acceptable inventory turns.• Attain a proficiency with engineering designs to include but not be limited to precast pipe,box culverts, and structural rebar conversions for the CIP market.• Ability to perform inside sales responsibilities effectively and efficiently from a home officeduring non-travel cycles.• Possess ability to interact and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner whennecessary.• Successful lead procurement, prospecting, and closing sales of new business opportunities.• Driven to remain knowledgeable on current industry trends, engineering specifications andapplications, market conditions along with departmental strategies, competitors’ strategiesand key customer fluctuations.• Support all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the reinforcing industrywith product knowledge of structural steel. Direct WWR mesh experience preferred.• College degree preferred ideally with a civil engineering or similar discipline.• Demonstrated track record of sales success, result driven performance and the ability toeffectively manage outside sales responsibilities.• Possess computer knowledge with all Microsoft Office Small Business applications, able totype with proficiency. Familiarity with CRM applications is important, experience withSalesforce preferred.• Technology competent with all customary activity essentials such as email, onlinenavigation, smartphones, laptops and other as deemed required.• Product Manager position involves support and sales travel in a defined geographic region.Ideal candidate will reside within region applied for or be willing to relocate.• A valid drivers’ license and qualified to drive and be insured with company vehicle.• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to self-motivate and capable of prioritizing work duties in an efficient manner.• Language skills with ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate with the Englishlanguage on all aspects of sales correspondence, RFQ’s, prints and governmental regulatorydocuments are required. Ability communicate in other languages may be a benefit.• Physical demands of the position include but are not limited to the responsibilities andqualifications as described herein. Further candidates must be able to perform all in anenvironment of extensive travel. Employee will be regularly required to sit, stand, and attimes walk considerable distances; speak, hear. Will be required to use hands to finger,handle and reach.
