About the role

The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for achieving the Company objectives and strategies in that State by supporting the Scheduling Manager ensuring brand and product integrity, financial performance and operational standards are maintained.
 

Your responsibilities will include:
 

• Prepare rebar and fabric schedules and marking plans from architectural and structural drawings and coordinate the supply of reinforcement in accordance with customer requirements, relevant Australian Standards, Liberty OneSteel Reinforcing Policy and manufacturing capabilities.
• Identify anomalies / discrepancies with architect and structural drawings and seek clarification from customer prior to scheduling.
• Identify potential solutions and negotiate changes with customers which will reduce scheduling / production costs (i.e.: maximising stock bar, grouping of variable bars, simplified shapes).
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to accurately forecast current customer construction projects to ensure internal resources are optimally managed to provide both high levels of customer satisfaction and maximum levels of profitability.

About your experience

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience in scheduling in the reinforcing industry would be highly desirable. However we are open to a traineeship for someone with solid ability to intrepret structrual and architechtual drawings.
• A relevant and recognised tertiary qualification in the current field of work advantegous
• Strong technical knowledge of the building and construction industry and construction practices
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and practices
• Strong mathematical & numerical skills
• Exposure to scheduling systems e.g. CAD would be desirable

Salary range – $80,000 – $90,000 per annum
