Procurement Analyst (Sydney, NSW, AU)

About the role

The Procurement Analyst forms an integral part of the Infrabuild Procurement team and will contribute to delivering success for InfraBuild by delivering continuous improvement and innovation on it’s ‘good to great journey’.
 

Specifically, the role works with the Category Excellence Manager and Category Managers in providing analytical support across procurement areas such as spend diagnostics, report development and improvement, data analytics, market insights, whilst ensuring compliance to policies, procedures and professional practices.
 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Analysis of historical and forecast spend data to draw insights and make strategy decisions
  • Contribute to analysing all potential risks at the different level in procurement and supply chain
  • Develop new tools and reporting aimed at utilising increased use of predictive data analytics and insights
  • Highlight opportunities into key cost drivers through data analytics, teardowns and cross-functional specification analysis
  • Support current and future market engagement activities through interrogating data sets
  • Identify and develop new self-serve reporting tools for category teams such as supplier balanced scorecards.
  • Create dashboards which requires minimal manual intervention
  • Work with category managers in providing analytical support on a range of sourcing activities or events (RFx, Market reviews, Supplier specifications, Supplier proposal analysis, Contract evaluation and Cost Savings analysis)
  • Identify trends and patterns to recommend improved stakeholder engagement and market engagement.

     

About your experience

As the Procurement Analyst, you are someone who has strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills who can translate significant data into concise, meaningful and actionable information.  Being resourceful and having strong communications skills is a must to be able to work effectively in a cross functional team at all levels of the organisation.

 

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain or finance
  • Experience in pulling data feeds from ERP systems such as SAP and JDE.
  • Must have experience in using Power BI to create dashboards
  • Experience in using MS Excel at an advance level and utilise excel at its full potential
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Access
  • SAP Signavio – desirable
  • Strong communication skills, relationship-building and ability to influence
  • Excellent researching skills
  • Problem-solving skills, using reason, analysis and ROI are crucial.
