Process Technician (Whyalla, SA, AU)
About the role
Our Iron Baron Mining Operations team are seeking to appoint a Process Technician reporting to the Shift Team Leader working an appealing roster – 12 hour dayshift/nightshift roster, equal time.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing planned preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure the condition and productive capacity of the Plant assets meets targets and delivers sustainable operations
- Demonstrate ability to identify faults through the use of fault finding techniques with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems
- Correctly operate the plant and equipment to ensure the condition and productive capacity of the Plant assets meets targets and delivers sustainable operations
- Working in a professional, timely and safe manner following all SIMEC Mining’s standards and procedures
About your experience
You will be a self-starter with the drive to safely complete any task you are given. This role will challenge and reward you, it will see you work in a strong team with a focus on safety performance and customer satisfaction.
Your key qualifications and skills will include:
- Formal trade qualifications;
Mechanical Fitter (Cert 111 Eng) - Prior experience working in mining or heavy industry, highly regarded
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
