Portfolio Analysis and Reporting Lead (Adelaide, SA, AU)
About the role
SIMEC mining has committed to take the lead in decarbonising the steel industry, with an ambition to be carbon neutral by 2030.
The SIMEC Mining Growth Portfolio consists of multiple large sale projects. A portfolio of this size requires large data management, interpretation and reporting in order to ensure decisions are data based and the correct information is shared with a broad range of stakeholders.
This newly created position of Portfolio Analysis and Reporting Lead, will be based in Adelaide. Reporting to the Manager Project Services, you will serve as the bridge between the project manager/project team as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Analysing project data and producing insights to optimize performance
- Map
- Assist the Projects team and Senior Management with data interpretations
- Interpret risk management data that is generated internally and from suppliers
- Generate weekly, monthly reports for internal consumption, corporate, finance and projects funders
- Monitoring and evaluating projects and the portfolio
- Providing operational support such as liaising with stakeholders, tracking timelines etc
- Report all safety aspects across the portfolio and ensure this is done accurately and consistently
- Utilise project data, turn the data into information, build knowledge through reporting and ultimately ensure decisions and actions are made from a place of wisdom
About your experience
We are on the lookout for a collaborative and enthusiastic individual that has proven experience in a similar role.
You will also have the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management or engineering
- Minimum 5 plus years experience in a project environment
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other data analysis tools. Strong PowerBI experience will be beneficial.
- Highly developed and negotiating and influencing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast paced environment
