Operator Maintainer (Electrical) (Tahmoor, NSW, AU)

About the role

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Operator Maintainer (Electrical) to join the Tahmoor Colliery Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) operating on a continuous 24/7 roster. You will demonstrate ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment to deliver production outcomes.  This role will be 80% Operator and 20% Electrical.

You will be responsible for:

  • Operating the CHPP to deliver on specification product and to optimise production (plant areas covered include: Top Floor, Bottom Floor, Control Room, Yard and Train Load Out)
  • Performing production tasks include inspections, troubleshooting of production issues, machinery operation and cleaning activities to maintain housekeeping standards
  • Maintaining CHPP equipment including online maintenance activities, during scheduled maintenance windows and first response for equipment breakdowns
  • Electrical breakdown troubleshooting with urgency given to production requirements
  • Identifying and rectifying hazards, damage, and defects
  • Assisting the CHPP crew with other duties within the scope of training, skill and competence as required by the Supervisor.

 

About your experience

You are a results focused Operator with an excellent work ethic, who holds an Electrical Licence with experience within mining, processing, or manufacturing operations. With a strong focus on safety and quality, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and supervisors.

You will also have:

  • Australian recognised trade qualification (NSW Electrical licence)
  • Basic First aid with LVR/CPR training
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Strong computer skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and team safety
  • Ability to follow process & site-specific procedures and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a multi-skilled team environment
  • PLC and SCADA systems knowledge and experience an advantage
