About the role
Entry level role, perfect opportunity for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing!
ARC are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Hemmant branch as Operator. The Australian Reinforcing Company will invest in your success by helping you acquire relevant tickets and receive exceptional training from the leadership team.
You will join a supportive and collaborative team that is highly safety-focused and look after each other. Gain experience and exposure in steel processing, pre-fabrication, and distribution.
Your key duties will include:
- Operating bending and cutting machinery for bar, steel and mesh products
- Welding of Prefabricated cages
- General storeman duties – picking, packing, loading, and unloading
- Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
- Involvement in process improvement initiatives
About your experience
To be successful in this role you will value collaborative working environments, promote a safety first culture, and proactively manage continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a fast-paced, high volume role that will require attention to detail and time management skills to meet KPIs.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Forklift and crane experience/ticket is highly regarded
- Background in steel, manufacturing, and construction industries are ideal
- Hardworking and reliable nature
- Safety-focused in all you do
- A continuous learning and can-do mindset
- Keen ability to join a collaborative and high-performing team
