Operator (Hemmant, QLD, AU)
About the role
Entry level role, perfect opportunity for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing!
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Hemmant branch as Operators.
This is a great location close to Brisbane’s CBD and a few minutes walk from the Hemmant Train Station.
You will join a supportive and collaborative team that is highly safety-focused while gaining experience and exposure in steel processing, pre-fabrication, and distribution. The Australian Reinforcing Company will also invest in your success by helping you acquire relevant tickets and receive exceptional training from the leadership team.
The shifts within this role vary between a morning shift, 5AM to 1PM, or an afternoon shift, 1PM to 9PM.
Your key duties:
• Operating bending and cutting machinery for bar, steel and mesh products
• General storeperson duties – picking, packing, loading, and unloading
• Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
• Involvement in process improvement initiatives
About your experience
You are someone who values teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement and has a strong desire to operate at a fast pace to ensure the team succeeds.
You can demonstrate:
• A good mechanical aptitude
• Forklift and crane experiene/ticket is highly regarded
• Background in steel, manufacturing, and construction industries are ideal
• Hardworking and reliable nature
• Safety-focused in all you do
• A continuous learning and can-do mindset
• Keen to join a collaborative and high-performing team
