Operator (Gladstone, QLD, AU)
About the role
You will be part of a team at Gladstone that is highly safety focused with a strong track record for delivering great outcomes. You will be surrounded and mentored by seasoned operators ensuring your success within the business.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Operating forklift and manual handling
- Ensuring cleanliness of the yard and operational areas
- Maintenance and operation of machinery such as excavators, skid steers etc
- Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
Role hours: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3 pm with overtime available if required
About your experience
You are someone who values teamwork, safety, continuous improvement and has a strong desire to operate at a fast pace to ensure the team succeeds.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Forklift license is essential
- Manual truck driving experience is essential
- Experience in driving an excavator and skid steers is desirable
- Scrap recycling, construction, manufacturing, or warehousing industry experience is desirable but not essential
- A continuous learning and can-do mindset
