Non Ferrous Trading Manager (Hemmant, QLD, AU)
About the role
InfraBuild is Australia’s only fully vertically-integrated steel manufacturer spanning scrap metal recycling, steel manufacturing and downstream distribution. As a Trading Manager, you will be leading the Trading Team and direct the Branch Managers for cost efficient and timely Non-ferrous scrap metal trading as well as coordinating delivery to nominated InfraBuild Recycling facilities.
This role is based in Hemmant but involves travel to other Branches and Queensland Customer base. You will contribute to operational safety as well as driving excellence in customer service across the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of trader account managers to maximise market share in QLD
- Overseeing a portfolio of existing accounts as well as developing new business
- Developing rapport with customers, tailoring our products and service offerings to their specific needs and addressing their issues
- Identifying and implementing any continuous improvement initiatives across the state
- Prioritising work demands to manage customer retention and satisfaction
- Negotiating quotes and managing bespoke customer requirements
- Contributing to sales presentations and tender reviews/submissions
About your experience
You will be an energetic and confident leader with a proactive attitude and an ability to work efficiently with a cross-functional team, effectively managing key customer relationships.
To be successful in this role you will also have:
- A track record of successfully leading sales teams
- Previous experience in scrap, metal trading or the waste industry is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and capability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to influence outcomes with various stakeholder groups to achieve strategic objectives
- Be able to identify opportunities for growth or improvement across a complex business
