About the role

As the New Product development Specialist for our Newcastle site, you will play a crucial part in driving our company’s growth by conceptualising, developing, and launching new products that will delight our customers and maintain our competitive edge. You will work closely with the Sales & Marketing, Technical, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

You will be responsible for:

• Generate innovative product ideas with detailed product concepts
• Oversee the development process and ensure that all products meet relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Define product requirements, project timelines, and budgets
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with internal teams to develop effective product launch and go-to-market strategies
• Provide reports and maintain thorough documentation during development process.

About your experience

We are seeking a creative individual with a proactive attitude and strong Mechanical aptitude who has excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals. Our ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement and negotiating skills alongside demonstrated design or creative capability.

To be successful in the role you will have;

• Mechanical Aptitude with either Tertiary Degree or Trade Background
• Industrial Design Background or experience within Rural Wire Industry will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
• Intermediate computer skills, proficiency in SAP and CAD software is desirable
• Experience with project management and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver on strict deadlines with competing priorities
