About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the maintenance planning and activities at the Geelong Wire Mill. You will focus on operational excellence and process improvements while keeping the health and safety of our people front of mind.

Other responsibilities will include;

• Lead maintenance team in all areas of Safety, Training and Performance
• Managing the maintenance budget, facilities and contracts
• Consult with site management to identify and deliver budgeted minor capital projects
• Developing trade staff capabilities to meet the needs of the business
• Contractor management, ensuring all paperwork and process meet standards

About your experience

A strong communicator who can lead and shape direction for the team, drive high performance and champion the core values of the business. You are passionate about achieving desired outcomes and building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

In order to succeed in this role you will need;

• Demonstrated experience in a similar Maintenance role
• Previous Leadership experience in a Manufacturing or Heavy Industry environment
• Trade background or Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Maintenance Management
• Reliability engineering and Project management experience will be highly regarded
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the business 
• Ability to think outside the box, operate under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Proficient computer skills and strong attention to detail
