Maintenance Fitter (St Marys, NSW, AU)

About the role

InfraBuild Reinforcing is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our largest Reinforcing processing plant in Australia at St Marys.  Our ideal candidate will be comfortable to work autonomously and collaboratively with our close knit and supportive team.  You will be responsible for ensuring that plant maintenance is executed safety and efficiently.

Day shift role – 6am – 2:25pm, Monday to Friday plus overtime as required.

 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Execution of preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Breakdowns, fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Assist operations with projects and improvements
  • Perform mechanical inspections and create action plans to improve recurring faults
  • Regularly update computer systems for corrective and preventative work orders
  • Communicate and coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor, regarding mechanical updates and concerns
  • Liaise with our afternoon shift team to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Ensure a safe working environment through identifying risks and areas of improvement

About your experience

You will be an experienced Maintenance Fitter who values safety, efficiency and teamwork.  You are driven, an excellent communicator and have the initiative and proactive approach to work autonomously in this role.

 

  • Mechanical Trade or Fitter and Turner qualification
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting and fault finding skills
  • Hydraulics experience
  • Experience or background in manufacturing, industrial machines and cranes
  • Experience or background in steel manufacturing, desirable
  • Tickets and other licences (e.g. forklift, EWP etc.) are highly regarded and will earn you additional $$
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
