Human Resource Generalist (Georgetown, SC, US)
The Position: We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to perform all human resources related duties at the professional level and has responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, employee relations, labor relations, employee benefits, training, and payroll.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the entire hiring process for all levels of the facility as well as internal movement with the facility and Liberty Steel companies.
Full circle responsibility from onboarding, employee relations and retention, to exit interviews.
Oversees and manages FMLA request, employment verification, EEOC reporting to corporate as well as headcount reporting to GFG.
Responds to employee complaints, harassment allegations or other employee conflicts.
Maintains good working relationship with employees, knowledgeable of employee benefits and company policies and procedures.
Performs payroll functions in conjunction with the accounting department to include new hire entry, salary changes, tax changes, mandatory deductions, etc.
Performs other HR functions as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from four-year accredited college or university.
Five (5) years’ experience in the HR field.
SPHR/ SHRM certification preferred.
Must be capable of using personal computer and Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be knowledge of or capable of learning ADP payroll system.
Must be well organized and capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities in an efficient and timely manner.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
Pay range begins at $75,000 with a discretionary target bonus of 12%.
