About the role

We are currently looking for an Electrical Tradesperson who will bring an electrical aptitude and initiative to the team. You will demonstrate ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while providing timely and cost-effective solutions to efficiently execute electrical maintenance activities across the Liberty Bell Bay operation. This is a permanent full-time position on a fantastic lifestyle – Day Shift roster, working 4 days a week, on 10-hour shifts.
 

You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring a safe workplace, identifying and addressing risks appropriately and demonstrating positive safety behaviour
• Executing preventative electrical maintenance inspections on Low Voltage and High Voltage equipment including but not limited to pumps, cranes, conveyors, smelting equipment, fans, goods lifts, and sampling equipment
• Undertaking fault finding activities on complex electrical smelting control systems.

About your experience

You are a results focused Electrical Tradesperson with experience within mining, processing, or manufacturing operations. With a strong focus on safety and quality, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and supervisors.
 

You will also possess the following:

• A-Grade Electrical Licence
• Certificate 3 Electrotechnology – Electrician or equivalent
• HV Switching (national) ticket will be highly regarded
• Forklift ticket and Bridge and gantry crane ticket helpful
• Certificate 3 Electrotechnology – Instrumentation (desirable).

Liberty Bell Bay is Australia’s only ferro-alloy producer, operating four submerged arc furnaces and a Sinter Plant to produce high-carbon ferromanganese, silicomanganese and sinter.
