Electrical Tradesperson (Eagle Farm, QLD, AU)
About the role
We are currently looking for an Electrical Tradesperson with excellent electrical aptitude and initiative to join our Eagle Farm site. You will be supporting our Maintenance Team in safely maintaining site operations and ensure that day-to-day production is achieved. You will be able to work in a dynamic environment, providing timely and economical solutions to accomplish electrical related activities.
This is a permanent full-time role with friendly hours – 6 am to 2 pm – Mondays to Thursday, and early finish on Fridays, 6 am to 12 pm. Role offers OT opportunities.
- Work with safe working systems in place for maintenance and service.
- Work concurrently with other maintenance and operations team
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance as scheduled
- Attend and manage breakdown maintenance as required. Perform electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding activities as required.
- Conduct electrical inspections and create corrective work using the system to minimise machine downtime.
- Assist Operations with machine capacities and runtimes to ensure production plans targets are timely achieved
- Regularly update and work on maintenance related computer systems for corrective and preventative work orders
- Communicate and coordinate with the Maintenance Team to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure a safe working environment through identifying risks and areas to improve
- Critical spares management

About your experience
This role will be right for someone looking to build and advance their career in the Electrical field. You are someone who values safety, efficiency, and teamwork. You are driven, a good communicator, and have the initiative and proactive approach to be effective in this role.

Has 3+ years of experience in the electrical field

Electrical Trade Qualification or any Australian TAFE equivalent qualification is highly regarded

Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

Knowledge in electrical troubleshooting and/or previous exposure to but not limited to PLC fault-finding

Previous experience with Control Systems and Low Voltage electrical work

Background in the industrial, manufacturing, or a high and fast-paced production environment

Tickets and other licences are highly regarded (Forklift, Crane, etc.)

Ideally has knowledge in using maintenance computer systems – SAP, Mainpac
