Responsibilities:

Strategic Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical equipment including EAF, LMF, Casting Machine, and Long Products Rolling Mill.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and supervisors, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team achieves operational targets and adheres to safety protocols.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for all machinery and systems within the steelmaking and rolling mill processes. Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Asset Management: Develop and maintain asset management protocols, including inventory control, spare parts management, and equipment documentation. Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies to maximize asset lifespan and minimize lifecycle costs.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices. Promote a culture of safety awareness and proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards or risks within the maintenance operations.
Performance Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess maintenance effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance productivity.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to procure necessary materials, services, and technical support. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
Training and Development: Develop training programs and initiatives to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of maintenance personnel. Promote cross-training and skill development to build a versatile and capable workforce.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred, but not required.

7+ years of experience in maintenance management within the steel manufacturing industry, with specific expertise in EAF’s, Ladle Met Furnaces, Casting Machines, and Long Products Rolling Mill operations.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational goals and maintain high safety standards.
In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability engineering principles, and asset management techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and drive data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems for maintenance planning, asset management, and performance analysis.

PAY RANGE: $112,380 – $140,500
DISCRETIONARY TARGET BONUS: 25%
