Customer Service Officer (Orange, NSW, AU)
About the role
Due to an internal move, ARC have an opportunity for a Customer Service Officer to join our tight-knit team at our Orange branch. You will be working closely with sales and operations to deliver an outstanding customer experience. This position would be a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing customer/sales experience.
This is a permanent role – Monday to Friday with working hours from 7am to 3pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain customer relationships through service excellence
- Process and manage customer orders, quotes, and enquiries face-to-face, online, and over the phone
- Over-the-counter sales – early morning customer pick-ups run hot!
- Planning of production runs and loads
- Liaising with freight companies to manage transport and logistics
- Work alongside the sales team to support ARC’s success in the market
- Creation and maintenance of pricing-related information
- Onsite customer visits to develop long-term relationships and a deep understanding of their needs
- Adhere to ARC’s WH&S policies and procedures
About your experience
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sound IT skills
- High level of attention to detail and robust administrative skills
- Experience working alongside customers face-to-face and over phone/email
- Skilled in value-based selling
- Self-motivated, driven, and with a positive attitude – cup half full!
- Previous experience in the construction/manufacturing industry is not essential – hiring manager is focused on the right customer/cultural values you bring to our team
