Customer Service Officer (Newcastle, NSW, AU)

About the role

ARC have an opportunity for a Customer Service Officer to join our tight-knit team at the Newcastle branch where you will be working closely with sales and operations to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
This position would be a suitable opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing customer/sales experience.

 

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through service excellence 
  • Process and manage customer orders, quotes, and enquiries face-to-face, online, and over the phone 
  • Over-the-counter sales – early morning customer pick-ups run hot! 
  • Work alongside the sales team to see ARC excel in the market 
  • Creation and maintenance of pricing-related information
  • Onsite customer visits to develop long-term relationships and a deep understanding of their needs

About your experience

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and robust administrative skills
  • Experience working alongside customers face-to-face and over the phone
  • Skilled in value-based selling
  • Self-motivated, driven, and with a positive attitude – cup half full!
  • Previous experience in the construction/manufacturing industry is not essential – hiring manager is focused on the right customer/cultural values you bring to our team
