About the role

Our Mackay branch is looking for a proactive individual to be at the front line of our business. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will manage the day-to-day to customers and clients, guaranteeing exceptional support and services. 

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Your duties will include the following but are not limited to:

•     Providing face-to-face, email-based, and over-the-phone type of customer service
•     Providing quotes, pricing, and responding to general queries of customers
•     Processing and completing purchase orders
•     Performing general administrative work and assisting in ad hoc activities – warehousing, dispatch, and inventories.

About your experience

You need adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach to excel in this role. You must be goal-driven and confident in building customer relationships. 

You will also need:

•     Experience in a similar phone-based/in-person customer service role
•     Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•     Good computer skills or the ability to learn new systems quickly
•     Background or exposure to the construction, manufacturing, or steel industry is highly regarded
•     A can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn and develop your skillset.
