Commercial Project Administrator (Brisbane, QLD, AU)

About the role

 

Reporting to the National Commercial Manager, this role is responsible for the preparation of monthly payment claims in accordance with supply contracts and the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 (QLD). This role is based in InfraBuild’s QLD head office located at Eagle Farm, but once initial training and onboarding is completed, a hybrid or working from home arrangement is an option.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and submitting monthly payment claims as per contractual obligations and the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 (QLD), including gathering and submitting all supporting documentation
  • Coordinating all project related parties to expedite customer payment
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, such as management, and finance teams, to ensure effective financial management and support their financial needs
  • Working closely with project managers before payment claim is submitted regarding the items in the payment claim
  • Receiving and reviewing monthly Payment Schedules from customers in response to the monthly Payment Claims submitted
  • Identifying customer payment claim disputes for escalation and resolution
  • Liaise with Major Project Site Administrators, Accounts Payable, Internal Stakeholders on overdue/unpaid payment claims/disputes
  • Reconciling Cash Receipts
  • Monitoring the Major Projects Debtors Ledger (Attending weekly Credit Report Meeting)
  • Reporting any unresolved Debt or any payment Disputes that may affect contractual obligations

About your experience

 

Our ideal candidate will have experience preparing monthly payment claims or in the area of accounts receivables. We are looking for a team player with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to solve problems in a process driven and dynamic environment.  Strong communication and engagement skills are required to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Accounts Receivable experience or experience preparing monthly payment claims for construction contracts desirable Experience in a similar role within the Construction Industry
  • A high level of computer literacy and attention to detail
  • A high level of Professional acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in JDE/ARMA and Power BI desirable
  • Confident in building relationships and partnering with Stakeholders at all levels
  • A high level of motivation, be proactive and able to work independently
