Commercial Analyst (Newcastle, NSW, AU)
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join the team. This is a chance for you to bring your proven finance experience and showcase your ability to challenge the norm
The Commercial Analyst will be based in the manufacturing facility and be the link between finance and operations. They will participate in site specific month end activities such as cost accruals, journal processing, conversion cost reporting, forecast modeling, annual budget preparation, capital evaluation modeling and routine cost reviews with representatives from the Rod Mill, Contistretch and National Distribution Centre.
Your responsibilities include:

Monthly forecasting and budget preparation

Management of S4 Hana/SAP accounting systems and monthly reporting

Creation and distribution of Management Reports to key stakeholders

Analysis and explanation of variances

Production facility and site cost control
About your experience
Ideally you are a self-starter and a confident communicator with the ability to talk to different people within the business at all levels.

Tertiary qualifications with CPA/CA/CFA designation

High level of competency with SAP (S4 Hanna experience highly regarded)

Ability to identify and understand key drivers in a complex commercial environment

Demonstrated aptitude for business partnering and stakeholder engagement

Manufacturing, mining or heavy industry experience preferred.

Operating two electric arc furnaces and four rod and bar rolling mills we use local materials to produce high quality steel products.
