About the role
The Senior Procurement Analyst forms an integral part of the InfraBuild Procurement team and will contribute to delivering success for InfraBuild by delivering continuous improvement and innovation on it’s ‘good to great journey’.
Reporting directly to InfraBuild Category Manager (Transport), the role provides analytical support across procurement areas such as spend diagnostics, report development and improvement, data analytics, market insights, whilst ensuring compliance to policies, procedures and professional practices.
Other responsibilities include:

Supporting category excellence through analytical support, development and maintenance of category strategy and category dashboards, reports and forms.

Analysis of historical and forecast spend data to support development of category segmentation and identify opportunities for improvement, rationalisation, savings and consolidation.

Contribute to analysing all potential risks at the category level such as supply continuity, safety, revenues or public relations and to develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

Gather freight and logistics category market intelligence and complete analysis work to identify key insights and interpretations that inform category management thinking.

Calculation and tracking of key market and rate related data including fuel prices and TransEco indices.

Develop new tools and reporting aimed at utilising increased use of predictive market analytics and insights to help build continuous improvement and drive the implementation within freight & logistics category.

Highlight opportunities into key cost drivers through data analytics, teardowns and cross-functional specification analysis.

Supporting current and future market activities, interrogate data sets to help deliver a greater value proposition including total cost of ownership (TCO) and ‘should be’ cost modelling.

Identify and develop new reporting tools such as supplier balanced scorecards, dashboards and predictive data analytics to help Infrabuild achieve it’s Good to Great ambitions across Procurement.

Engage business partners to ensure you understand business requirements and work at multiple levels to build strong and meaningful relationships with internal stakeholders and understand their needs.

Souring activity / RFx creation & process including supporting or directly managing RFx/sourcing activities.

Work with category managers in providing analytical support and reporting through a range of sourcing activities or events (RFx, Market reviews, Supplier specifications, Supplier proposal analysis, Contract evaluation and Cost Savings analysis).

Support the freight & logistics category on bespoke projects and new CI initiatives as identified and agreed.

Assist the freight & logistics category in producing, developing and improving monthly or annual procurement KPI reports (e.g. Contract KPI’s).
About your experience
As the Senior Procurement Analyst, you are someone who has strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills who can translate significant data into concise, meaningful and actionable information. Being resourceful and having strong communications skills is a must to be able to work effectively in a cross functional team at all levels of the organisation.
Skills and qualifications required:

Degree qualified in a relevant field e.g. Bachelors degree or CIPS

Experience in procurement, supply chain or finance
-
Excellent analytical skills and strategic analysis (both internal & market facing).

Good research skills for understanding the external market.
-
Problem-solving skills, using reason, analysis and ROI are crucial.

Good communications skills (both verbal and written).
-
Excellent stakeholder management skills (both internal and external).
-
Good presentation skills to stakeholders of all levels.

High level of computer literacy with advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Ability to work in a calm manner, prioritise competing demands and solve enquiries efficiently.

A flexible, team-work approach to tasks and responsibilities.

Experience in using SAP and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Experience in using eSourcing tools such as SAP ARIBA or other eSourcing.
