About the role

The Branch Supervisor is an integral part of the depot and regions ongoing success. This is a varied role where the ideal candidate will be supervising the daily operations of the Matthew’s Metals Dubbo branch.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Managing and coordinating the logistics, administration and customer service of this branch
• Managing daily operations including people leadership for a team of five
• Contributing to ongoing process improvements
• Communicating regularly with both ferrous and non-ferrous customers
• Ensuring the operation of the yard is working in adherence with site safety policies and procedures
• Coordinating non-ferrous metal collections from a broad geographical range

About your experience

We’re looking for someone who understands our industry, primarily though we are seeking someone who would best describe themselves as –

• Goal-oriented, with a real desire to achieve results
• Having a demonstrated ability and experience in a leadership position, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry
• Comfortable working without direct day to day supervision with the support of Management and Head Office
• Someone who has experience in construction, manufacturing or transport and logistics
• Someone who appreciates policies & procedures, yet can think on their feet to create win/win outcomes for customers and the business
• Forklift license and scrap experience would be beneficial
