About the role

The Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC) is seeking an Area Manager with strong leadership skills to be based at the Queanbeyan site, with responsibility for 5 branches in total. You will support and develop branches in Queanbeyan, Wollongong, Wagga Wagga, Bathurst and Orange. You will also be a proven sales and manufacturing leader who can successfully drive sales performance, safety and operational efficiencies across an established branch network in the NSW Southern region.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with some travel required for branch visits and quarterly lead team meetings in Sydney. 

Relocation package will be available to the successful candidate. 

The priorities of the role include:

• People management of sales and operational staff, promoting a high-performing culture through setting a clear sales process
• Coaching and developing team members through structured succession planning and career development and training
• Collaborate with other Area, Operations and Regional Leaders to identify areas for process improvement
• Champion a strong safety culture
• P&L, EBIT & financial reporting responsibility
• Customer facing for major key accounts

ARC will provide a vehicle, laptop and phone to the successful applicant to support your success in this role.

About your experience

You will be a strategic leader with an innovative mindset, problem-solving and effective communication skills. It is vital that you are a solutions-oriented Area Manager, who prioritises a strong safety culture and is customer focused.

To be successful in this role you will also be able to demonstrate:
 

• Proven experience in senior leadership, tertiary qualifications preferred, not essential
• Industry experience within reinforcing, building products, construction or industrial manufacturing
• Implementation of a high-performance culture across multiple branches
• Proven track record driving effective sales processes with major accounts
• Change management experience
