About the opportunity

On-site Experience  
As an apprentice, you’ll get hands-on experience beyond the classroom at TAFE. You’ll work directly with the tools, equipment, and machinery you’ll use in your trade. Your placement will be at our Liberty Bell Bay site, about 50km north of Launceston. At Liberty Bell Bay, you’ll be part of Australia’s only ferroalloy production team, where we run four electric arc furnaces and a Sinter Plant to make high-carbon ferromanganese, silicomanganese, and sinter.
 

About you

We are looking for passionate, driven, and dedicated individuals who are eager to kickstart their careers in heavy industries – Manufacturing. 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicant must:
    • Have completed at least Year 11 at high school and have either gained your high school certificate by January 2025; OR
    • are on the pathway to gaining your high school certificate. *
  • Be safety focused, team orientated and have good interpersonal skills
  • Full working right in Australia and currently resides in Australia

* Those on the pathway to gaining their high school certificate will be signed up to a school-based apprenticeship.
